Alicia is from Southgate. She was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2012, not long after her 13th birthday. She is now 15 and still battling her illness with such courage. Alicia had always wanted a Red Wing sports themed bedroom that didn’t look like a ‘guys’ room. We got busy right away and in less than two weeks we were able to reveal it to her. Mitch Albom’s Heart of Detroit film crew was there to capture the excitement. Alicia is loving her bedroom makeover, including her 50″ Smart TV and her autographed puck from Pavel Datsyuk! We had so much fun and were so happy to make this special wish come true for such a special girl!
