Ryder, who was diagnosed with DIPG, had previously experienced his first wish trip to Give Kids the World. When it came time for his second wish, he chose something close to home. He wanted to spend meaningful time with the people he loves most.
For his wish, Ryder and his friends and family gathered for a private movie theater party featuring Back to the Future 1 and 2. The day was centered around togetherness, giving everyone a chance to relax, laugh, and simply enjoy being in the moment. It was a celebration filled with excitement and connection, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
To make the experience even more memorable, a DeLorean, just like the iconic car from the films, made a special appearance outside the theater. Ryder and his guests were able to see it up close, adding an extra layer of fun to an already meaningful day. Wishes like Ryder’s are a reminder of how powerful shared experiences can be for families navigating life-threatening illnesses.
